Privacy Policy
Corporate Gupshup is built for anonymous workplace discussion. This policy explains what we collect, what we never show, and how to contact us.
What we collect
We use Google sign-in to create and protect your account. From that flow we receive your Firebase user id and email address. Your email is used for account ownership, security, and lawful support. It is not displayed in the community.
We also store your anonymous Corporate Gupshup profile, including your generated username, reputation, role, subscription status, and optional home country, state, or city. We store the content and actions you create in the app, including posts, comments, votes, saves, reports, and moderation-related records. Presence pings may record whether your session is online or offline so we can show aggregate live counts. Request metadata such as IP address and user-agent may be processed at request time for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
What we never show publicly
We never show your real name, Google email, Google profile photo, or IP address on Corporate Gupshup. The only identity other members see is your anonymous handle. We do not attach Google account details to posts, comments, reports, votes, or public community UI.
Retention
Posts and comments remain available to signed-in members until you delete them, they are removed by moderation, or your account is removed. Account deletion is available on request to the grievance officer. Some records may be retained where needed for security, abuse investigation, dispute handling, legal compliance, or backup integrity.
Cookies
We use a non-PII hint cookie named cg_authso the edge proxy can route signed-in sessions more smoothly. Firebase Auth also manages authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking pixels.
Third parties
Firebase, operated by Google Cloud, acts as our processor for authentication, Firestore database, Realtime Database presence, hosting, and related infrastructure. When payments are enabled, Razorpay may process payment information, transaction identifiers, refund status, and related billing metadata needed to complete and support membership payments. We do not store full card, UPI, netbanking, or wallet credentials on Corporate Gupshup servers.
Your rights
Consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act principles, you may request access, correction, deletion, or grievance review for your account and data. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request. Contact the grievance officer for these requests.
